How To Purchase an Omen Maine Coon Kitten

Step 1 -Become a Pre-Approved Future Guardian.

Complete the Kitten Application & look over our Contract. The Kitten Application is just to get to know you better. and to see what kitten/cat you're specifically looking for. It is required to fill out whether or not you're wanting an Omen kitty now or in the future.

Step 2 - Contact Us.

Once you have filled out our Kitten Application Form you may Contact Us. Tell us you have completed the form and we will review it to see if you are approved to purchase one of our kittens. It's just to get to know you better and to see what you're looking for specifically.Β

Step 3 - Join the Waiting List. (Not Required).

If ready to proceed with getting your very own Omen Coon kitten, it's $100 to join our waiting list (goes towards final price of the kitten). That is non-refundable at any point in time, however, can be used for any upcoming or future litter for whenever you're ready. It will guarantee you a kitten, though it can take some time if you're looking for something very specific. As well as we only have 2 breeding Queens at the moment. If you were to back out for whatever reason, this $100 is still valid for any upcoming or future litter. You do not need to join the waiting list, however, anyone that’s interested NEEDS to look over our contract and fill out our application. The waiting list though, does get first pick, and first pick on specific colors. After waiting list has been gone through, and there is kittens still available, they will go on a first come first serve basis to our pre-approved homes.Β  To clarify, the $100 guarantees you a spot on the waiting list. It is NOT to hold a specific kitten. To reserve a certain kitten will be the reservation/deposit fee separately. Please also keep in mind: There may be people in front of you on the wait list. Often, people are looking for a specific set of parents, specific color, gender, etc. Not all kittens are made available. Sometimes we keep kittens longer to evaluate and consider for our program. So your wait for a kitten can be a few weeks to many months.Β

Step 4 - Waiting for Your Kitten.Β

Wait time can usually take between 2-12 months, at the moment due to having only 3 queens with an estimate of 6 litters a year. In the meantime, I can let clients see my cats by appointment only. Viewing is in my front yard, I do not let anyone indoors due to precautions as they are raised in my home. X-rays will be done a week before her due date to estimate the number of kittens that will be born. Keep in mind, complications can occur, as sometimes birthing and babies doesn't always go as text book planned. Your $100 (if placed) will always be valid, as stated above.

Step 5 - Reservations/Deposit to Hold a Kitten.Β

Kittens are available to be reserved at 4-6 weeks old. Deposit fee is $400 (if you placed a $100 wait list fee, total is $500), or $500 deposit if you did not place a wait list fee, also non-refundable UNLESS something happens to said kitten in MY care, which will result in either refunding or can transfer to another kitten/litter. With wait list fee included, $500 total will go toward final price of the kitten. After deposit is sent, my contract that was viewed earlier needs to be signed, and the Spay Secure Contract (if a breeder, spay secure contract does not need to be signed).

Step 6 - Vetting/S&N Schedule.

At 8 weeks old, they will have their 1st (1 out of 2) vet checks. They will get their first vaccines, deworming, & microchip. At two months of the kittens age the buyer will be contacted to schedule their kittens spay & neuter for 6 months of age in advance. The appointment must be made within the first week of the kitten turning two months. Failure to do so, we will not be able to release the kitten to the buyer until the appointment is made and confirmed.

Step 7 - Bringing Home Your Kitten.

Congratulations!! Kittens are ready to go at 12 weeks old. At 12 weeks old, they will go in for their 2nd vet check to receive their next shots, rabies vaccine deworming, and a health certificate from a licensed vet. Pick up is by appointment only at my home in Edinburg, TX. Can also meet close by, I go out of town here and there and can potentially meet on the way to my destination, or meet a USDA licensed animal transporter of your choice to drop off kitten at buyers expense. We will schedule a pickup date 1-2 days after they turn 12 weeks, due to the potential of them being sore due to the vaccines.
